The lodge faces north, making it one of the best aurora viewing spots in the Delta Junction area. From late August through April, the sky comes alive with sweeping greens, purples, and pinks above the Alaska Range. Step out the front door on a clear night, or join a guided aurora tour that takes you deeper into dark sky country. Pair with ice fishing, glacier viewing, or a side trip to North Pole for a full winter night under the stars.

Big Delta State Historical Park & Rika’s Roadhouse
Step back in time at this 10-acre historical park. Rika’s Roadhouse has been welcoming travelers along the Richardson Highway for more than 100 years. Wander the restored buildings, learn about the Alaska Pipeline at the nearby viewpoint, and grab a coffee or snack at the historic site during the summer season.
